The Herman Miller x HAY Collection is a first-of-its-kind collaboration that celebrates beloved Eames classics, reinterpreted with a complementary – and uniquely HAY – point of view. A longtime favorite for its expertly molded curved seat and back that comfortably cradles the body, the iconic Eames Molded Plywood Lounge Chair Wood Base (LCW) originally began as an experiment in Charles and Ray Eameses’ apartment – it was first created via a machine that molded plywood with the help of heat and a bicycle pump. This timeless design gets a fresh look with a rich forest green colorway.

Charles and Ray Eames
Design is for living. That maxim shaped a widespread shift in design during the 1940s and '50s. It was a revolution of form, an exciting visual language that signaled a new age and a fresh start – and two of its prime movers were Charles and Ray Eames. This husband-and-wife team's unique synergy led to a whole new look in furniture. Lean and modern. Sleek and simple. Beautifully functional.
