Big-Game design studio, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, was founded in 2004 by Grégoire Jeanmonod, Elric Petit and Augustin Scott de Martinville, who are Swiss, Belgian and French respectively. Jeanmonod and Scott de Martinville are both graduates of Ecole Cantonale d’Art in Lausanne (ECAL), while Petit graduated from La Cambre, in Brussels, Belgium. The trio’s combination of a relaxed Southern European approach and Flemish functionality has brought them a number of international design awards. They have a preference for simple, functional objects and are comfortable working across a range of product design briefs, both large and small. All three currently teach at ECAL, and the energy and reflection this brings can be seen in the positivity of their work. For HAY, they have created the Laundry Basket and Everyday Cutlery.
